FLAGSTAFF TO BAKERSFIELD
After a much needed sleep we departed Flagstaff at 8 a.m. for Bakersfield. We drove through Williams, a progressive town on Route 6 6. From there trains departed for the Grand Canyon. Pine forests grew well on the high elevation of 6,700 feet. It was then downhill to flat productive plains.
A 'graveyard' for obsolete aircraft. Sometimes they are kept for spart parts!!!
